Popular votes regarding complementary medicine in Switzerland!

The initiative’s principal requests such as the readmission of five therapeutical methods (homeopathy, phytotherapy (-Herbals), anthroposophical medicine, neural therapy and the traditional Chinese medicines - TCM) in the basic health insurance, the integration of medical complementary medicine in practice, teaching and research, the creation of diplomas for non medical therapists and the conservation of well-established remedies have been adopted in the federal constitution draft.

This draft will be submitted to approval to the Swiss citizens on Mai, 17th 2009 on the occasion of the popular votes. If the decision is positive these rules will be anchored in the Swiss constitution.

ANME e.V. will keep its fingers crossed for the members of this initiative on that voting day and we wish for the future of the complementary medicine /CAM in Europe a similar multidisciplinary coalition
